In my diverse career, I’ve worked in education, transportation, real estate, law and public services …but always in the accounting department. With our diverse mix of clients, working at Bauman Associates is a natural fit!

In an industry that is ever-changing, Leya Hoy appreciates her role in the evolution of cloud-based accounting. Having always taken the initiative to move technology forward, no matter what industry she’s worked in, Leya enjoys momentum. As a Client Service Specialist for Bauman Associates, Leya triages situations that arise in accounting and payroll and keeps the ball rolling so her clients can sleep better at night.

A firm believer that there are no stupid questions, Leya loves to help clients navigate the challenges they face with their accounting software. And her talent doesn’t stop there: armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a Master’s of Science degree in Career and Technical Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Leya loves assisting with accounting issues as well as training on and championing new technology with both clients and peers. Her fluency with accounting software and eye for detail allow Leya to help managers and Principals at Bauman safeguard audits and prepare for tax season. Recently writing her Master’s thesis on Training Needs in Mid-Sized Accounting Firms, Leya is officially a client service guru. Her approach to training focuses on easing clients into new technology – encouraging anyone and everyone to ask as many questions as they need to. [Example: transitioning to online portal] She is thankful for the like-minded culture at Bauman, which places a high value on collaboration.
