John Satre began his accounting career with Bauman Associates and is a principal of the firm, managing client engagements for a variety of small and medium-sized businesses, construction contractors, manufacturers and individuals. In addition, his knowledge in estate and trust tax planning and preparation has helped many clients through those complicated matters simply and effectively.
John meets one-on-one with his clients to define what makes their business unique and uncover any specific challenges they face. He understands business owners’ daily concerns as well as the long-term goals they set. And because of his extensive industry experience, he is often able to anticipate their needs and proactively provides insight. He remains accessible and responds quickly, knowing that time often means money when making decisions.
Active in the development of the young professionals in the firm, John’s own path began when a professor discovered his potential and vigorously encouraged him to pursue an accounting career. From a community standpoint, he has also invested in younger generations as a teacher and youth mentor at Trinity Lutheran Church, a volunteer teacher for Junior Achievement and a coach for traveling youth soccer teams.
Married for over 30 years, John enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren in Eau Claire, where he grew up. He loves being outdoors and participating in cycling, fishing, tennis, hiking and traveling. He also enjoys reading, especially his favorite author, Dan Brown.
